We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic student volunteers to assist with conference activities – for both pre-conference planning and on-site execution. Student volunteers will have an opportunity to interact with many professionals, researchers, and academics within Digital Earth fields from all over the world, while providing a valuable service in helping the conference run smoothly for everyone.
Students volunteers are needed to assist with many areas of the conference:
- Scientific Program
- Audio Visual
- Education & Outreach
- Destination Ambassador
The expected time commitment for each student is one half-day. For every half-day you volunteer, you will be able to attend one half-day of sessions. Volunteers will also receive a volunteer t-shirt, an invitation to the Closing Ceremony & Reception, and receive a certificate of completion noting the number of volunteer hours (so you may submit for your co-curricular record).
Assignments will be based on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited – so register early! Volunteers will be contacted by e-mail to coordinate assignments, closer to the time of the conference.
Thank you for your interest in Digital Earth 2015, and we look forward to seeing you in October!
